Setting an external program
You can register an external program and use it to adjust an image displayed in the document window. You can register up to 3 external programs.

Select [Settings] from the [Tools] menu.
The [Settings] dialog box is displayed. On the [External Programs] tab, the registered image-editing programs are displayed. You can register a maximum of 3 programs.

Click [Add] to add a new program or [Edit] to edit a registered program.
The [External Programs] dialog box is displayed.

Add or edit an external program.

Name/Program file In the [Name] text box, the name of the registered program is displayed. In the [Program file] box, the directory where the program is located is displayed. To add or edit the settings, click [Browse] and specify the external program to be registered.
Transfer format Specify the file format or other settings when an image is sent to a registered external program.
  • File format: Select form [JPEG] (for image data compression) or [TIFF] (for high quality printing).
  • Bit depth (for Tiff only): Select the data bit depth either from [8 bit] or [16 bit].
  • Color space (for JPEG and TIFF only): Select [sRGB] or [AdobeRGB].
  • Compression (for JPEG only): Specify the compression level. The higher the compression rate is, the smaller the file size. The lower the compression rate is, the higher the picture quality.

Click [OK].
The [Settings] dialog box is displayed.
Changing the color management settings
You can set the working and monitor color space.

Select [Settings] from the [Tools] menu.
The [Settings] dialog box is displayed.

Click [Color Management].
The [Color Management] dialog box is displayed.

Set the working or monitor color space.

Default working color space Select the default working color space from [sRGB], [AdobeRGB], or [Camera settings] (color space when the image is taken).
Monitor profile (For Windows)/Display profile (For Macintosh) Select the monitor color profile from [sRGB] or [Other monitor profile]. When you select [Other monitor profile], click [Change] to display the dialog box used to select a profile. Select the desired profile so that the selected profile is displayed in the [Other monitor profile] text box.

Click [OK].
The settings are saved.
Changing the transparency of palettes
You can make palettes transparent, which is useful when you display multiple palettes around or over the document window.

Select [Settings] from the [Tools] menu.
The [Settings] dialog box is displayed.

Click [ Palette].
The [ Palette] tab is displayed.

Specify the transparency of palettes.

Make palettes transparent By selecting the check box, the function to make palettes transparent enables and you can set the transparency when the palettes are active or inactive.
Transparency of active palettes When multiple palettes are displayed, you can set the transparency of the active palettes where the mouse pointer is located. Input the transparency (0% to 99%) in the text box or drag the slider to adjust the transparency.
Transparency of inactive palettes When multiple palettes are displayed, you can set the transparency of the inactive palettes where the mouse pointer is not located. Input the transparency (0% to 99%) in the text box or drag the slider to adjust the transparency.

The settings are saved.
