Comment: It won't let you copy the save over to the Wii unless you already had a save.

Comment: I think you mean it wont let you copy the save unless you own the game on your Wii. For all saves, it wants some kind of history that you've at least played the game on your console before it'll allow you to transfer it to your internal memory.
